College Transfers Trends

College Transfers Trends

Higher education in the United States is in the process of undergoing changes to accommodate the growing higher education needs of the population and the U.S. as a country. The status-quo is no longer addressing the increasing importance that college degrees have in the increasingly competitive world economy. Evolving technologies and professional, engineering and scientific skills will be the driving forces for success in the future. While 29 percent of the U.S. population has a bachelor's degree, the recognition that the U.S. needs to increase this percentage is driving changes at the federal, state and institution level to make college education more affordable and attainable for a larger percent of the population.

College transfer students are benefiting from changes that make transferring schools more transparent and cost-effective. As a result of these trends, more students will be able to transfer schools and more people will be able to return to school and obtain the college degrees that will enable personal career goals to be met and will allow the U.S. to remain economically competitive in the world. BrainTrack has provided several articles that discuss these trends and their impact on transfer students.
