Lomonosov Moscow State University

Established in 1755, Lomonosov Moscow State University, formerly Moscow University, is located in Moscow, Russia. In 1940, the university was given its present name in honor of academician Mikhail Lomonosov. In the 18th century, the university had only three academic divisions including law, medicine, and philosophy.

However, nine new faculties were established after 1991.

Lomonosov Moscow State University's recent enrollments have been more than 30,000 undergraduates and over 7,000 postgraduate students. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs of study through 30 academic divisions and 15 research centers. Students can opt for degrees in mechanics and mathematics, materials science, sociology, bioengineering and bioinformatics, fine and performing arts, psychology, geography, law, foreign languages, physics, and many other fields.

Lomonosov Moscow State University offers classes in its main campus in Moscow, as well as in campuses in the countries of Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. These include the Puschino MSU campus, Podmoskovny MSU campus, Chernomorsky MSU campus, and Kazakstan MSU campus.
