Louis Pasteur University

The Louis Pasteur University, also known as ULP or Strasbourg I, was established in 1567, and is located in Strasbourg, Alsace, France. Jacques Sturm founded the Protestant Secondary School in 1538, which became an Academy in 1556. Later in 1621, the academy became a University and then a Royal University in 1631. ULP's recent enrollments have been more than 18,000 students. The university offers Doctoral programs through the following divisions:

  • Doctoral School of Molecular and Supramolecular Chemical Sciences

  • Doctoral School of Subject, Education, Labour

The Office of Student Life, also known as BE is the interface between the university and the students. The sports association, ASULP and BVE arranges athletic events for the university. The university publishes the magazine “ulp.sciences”.
