The Pierre and Marie Curie University, abbreviated as UPMC, was established in 1971. It is located in Paris, France. The university is also known as Université Pierre et Marie Curie. The Paris Faculty of Science was split into a number of universities in 1968. In 1971 the University of Paris 6 was founded as the scientific center. The university got the title Université Pierre et Marie Curie in 1974. UPMC's recent enrollments have been nearly 30,000 students.
