Université De MontréAl

The Universite de Montreal, abbreviated as UdeM, was established in 1878, is located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The university started as Universite de Laval a Montreal. After the papal charter was granted by Pope Benedict XV in 1919, the university became Université de Montréal. UdeM's recent enrollments have been more than 41,000 undergraduate and 14,000 postgraduate students. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs of study through the following academic divisions:

The students of the university are also associated with organizations like FAECUM, AGEEFEP, and many more. The Quartier Libre is the student's newspaper published by the university. CISM-FM is the student run radio station.

The university alumni include Dede Fortin, a singer; Hubert Reeves, astrophysicist; Denys Arcand, film maker; and many others.
