University Of Erlangen Nuremberg

The University of Erlangen Nuremberg, abbreviated as FAU, was established in 1742, and is located in Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany. The university is known as Friedrich-Alexander-Universitat Erlangen-Nurnberg in German. The university was formed by Frederick, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, in Bayreuth. It was moved to Erlangen in 1943. Initially the university was Protestant institution, but later it secularized. The business college in Nuremberg merged with university in Erlangen in 1961. FAU's recent enrollments have been more than 25,000 students. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs of study through the following graduate schools:
