The University of Frankfurt, also known as the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, was established in 1912, and is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The University of Frankfurt played a major role in German student riots in 1968. The Frankfurt University got its present name after Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the most famous citizen of Frankfurt. The University of Frankfurt's recent enrollments have been more than 31,000 students. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs of study through the following academic divisions:
