The University of Gottingen, established in 1734, is located in Gottingen, Germany. The university is known as Georg-August-Universitat Gottingen in German. The university was founded by George II, King of Great Britain, for academic freedom during European Enlightenment. The university completed 100 years in 1837, and it got the fame as the University of Law. The University of Gottingen's recent enrollments have been nearly 24,000 students.
