University Of Heidelberg
The University of Heidelberg, also known as the Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg, was established in 1386, and is located in Heidelberg, Germany. The university was founded by the orders of Rupert I, Count Palatine of the Rhine. It was the third university that was established in the Holy Roman Empire. The University of Heidelberg's recent enrollments have been more than 26,000 students. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs of study through the following academic divisions:

The students of the university are involved in several sports such as sailing, swimming, skiing, fencing, acrobatics, volleyball, soccer, track and field, and rowing. The men's basketball team is called the USC Heidelberg. The university supports many clubs and organizations like the student parliament known as the AStA, the Collegium Musicum, drama clubs, chess club and literature club.
The university alumni include personalities such as Hannah Arendt, a political theorist; Gustav Theodor Fritsch, a physiologist and anatomist; Johann von Miquel, a German statesman; Gotthilf Hempel, oceanographer and marine biologist; Robert Wichard Pohl, physicist; Dr. John Augustus Just, chemist and inventor; Carl Schuchhardt, museum director and archaeologist; and many others.
