The University of Nottingham, established in 1798, is located in Nottingham, England, UK. The university started as an adult education school in 1798. The University College Nottingham received the Royal Charter in 1948. The name later changed to The University of Nottingham. The University of Nottingham's recent enrollments have been more than 24,000 undergraduate and 9,000 postgraduate students every year. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs of study through the following academic divisions :

University of Nottingham Students' Union represents the students. The students participate in badminton, table tennis, karate, mountaineering, baseball, golf, rugby, swimming, and water polo. They are also associated with organizations like Mature Students' Association, Biochemistry Society, Post-graduate Students' Association, International Students' Bureau, Theology Society, Secular Society, and ZambiAIDS Society.
