University Of Western Ontario
The University of Western Ontario, abbreviated as UWO, was established in 1878, and is located in London, Ontario, Canada. At times it is referred to as Western Ontario. The university started as The Western University of London Ontario, which was founded by Bishop Isaac Hellmuth. The classes began in 1881. The university was renamed to University of Western Ontario in 1923. UWO's recent enrollments have been nearly 25,000 undergraduate and 5,000 postgraduate students every year. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs of study through the following academic divisions:

The sports teams of the university are known as the Western Ontario Mustangs. The teams compete in sports such as basketball, fencing, baseball, soccer, badminton, rugby, volleyball, swimming, rowing, tennis, hockey, and golf. The university has several sorority houses like Alpha Omicron Pi, Pi Beta Phi, Alpha Phi, and fraternities like Kappa Alpha Society, Lambda Chi Alpha, Pi Lambda Phi, and Alpha Epsilon Pi.
The notable alumni of the university include Cheryl Gallant, politician; Joan Louise Barfoot, novelist; John Parmenter Robarts, lawyer and statesman, Timothy Hudak, politician; and many others.
