Academic Programs

A selection of available programs at AmeriTech include:

• Dental Assistant Diploma program - The 38 weeks program provides the knowledge and skills required to assist a dentist. Students are thoroughly trained in chairside assisting, front office duties and laboratory procedures. The curriculum also covers radiology techniques. The program includes externships in dental offices. Graduates are qualified to take the Certified Dental Assistant exams.
• Dental Laboratory Technician Diploma program - The 45 weeks program teaches students the art of creating crowns and bridges. Students learn to produce crowns and bridges using a variety of materials. The program emphasizes producing high-quality products.
• Healthcare Office Specialist Diploma program - The 34 weeks program provides training in the duties of an office manager and administrative assistant for doctor's offices, dentist's offices and other healthcare settings. Graduates are qualified to take the CPC credentialing exam and the NCCT credentialing exam for Medical Office Assistant and Insurance and Coding Specialist. The program includes an externship.
• Medical Assistant Diploma program - The 34 weeks program provides comprehensive training in entry-level clinical and administrative tasks performed at medical offices and clinics. The program includes an externship.
• Surgical Technologist Diploma program - The 45 weeks program provides training in assisting in surgical operations and procedures. Students also learn the various aspects of preparing an operating room. The program includes an externship in the OR's of various surgical sites.
