Academic Programs

A selection of studies available from Anthem include:

• Dental Assistant Associate degree program - Provides thorough chairside training. Students also learn to perform basic dental office administrative tasks. The program covers the fundamentals of dental x-ray and provides an introduction to dental health and preventive dentistry. The program provides an externship in a dental facility.
• Medical Assistant Associate degree program - Provides theory and practical application in the basics of medical diagnostic techniques. Students are provided training in clinical and administrative duties. The program covers standard laboratory procedures and provides an introduction to medical insurance coding and claim processing. The program also provides an externship in a medical facility.
• Paralegal Associate degree program - Reviews transactional law, criminal law and adversarial process, civil law and litigation, estate planning and probate, business law, administrative law and alternate dispute resolution. Students learn to collect and organize evidence, perform discovery work and do legal research and writing.
• Surgical Technologist Diploma program - Students are trained to assist in surgical operations. The program covers sterilization and surgical room set-ups, surgical room equipment and supplies, the application of surgical bandages, preparing and positioning a patient for surgery and other topics. The program provides an externship at a medical facility
• Pharmacy Technician Diploma program - Students learn to help pharmacists provide medication and other healthcare products to clients. A review of prescription and non-prescription drugs, dietary supplements and herbal remedies is also included. The program covers the functions of hospital pharmacies and retail pharmacies. The program provides an externship at a clinical site.
• Massage Therapy diploma program - Includes training in various types of massage including Swedish, deep tissue, sports and chair. Students are also trained in hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, reflexology, spa treatments and lymphatic drainage.

Students may attend Anthem College on a full-time or part-time basis. Online studies are an option.
