About Anthem Institute

Anthem Institute was founded in 1970 by a large insurance organization and was initially named the Chubb Institute. The school was later purchased by the High-Tech Institute. Diploma programs are available in computer technology and healthcare at numerous campuses. The curriculums utilize industry-specific equipment. The programs strive to offer the particular skills in demand by employers.

Anthem Institute Academic Programs

• Graphic Design and Animation - Trains students to create images and graphics in tools such as Adobe Photoshop and to utilize Adobe Flash for internet presentations. The program offers the skills necessary to produce interactive websites.
• CAD/Drafting Technology - Program provides the skills required to utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software in order to create drawings based on sketches produced by engineers, architects and others.
• Computer Networking and Security Program - Students learn to install and protect computer networks and create security policies.
• Massage Therapy - The program trains students to provide massage therapy in sports medicine clinics, physical therapy offices, athletic clubs, naturopathic clinics and other settings.
• Medical Assistant - Teaches basic medical diagnostic techniques, office and laboratory procedures, anatomy and physiology, medical records updating and other subjects.
• Medical Billing & Coding - Offers training in billing and medical coding, insurance claim reimbursement and provides an introduction to medical terminology and pharmacology. Also, externships are available in medical offices and hospitals.
• Surgical Technologist - Students are trained to take the NCCT Tech Surgery-Certified NCCT Certification Examination.

The combined enrollment for the collection of campuses is approximately 4,000. Various student activities are available, including sports and social events. Community service programs are also available. Student Services provides free private tutoring and assists students find part-time or full-time work while attending the institute. Housing assistance is also offered. The Graduate Placement Assistance program helps graduates in finding jobs in their chosen career field.

Admissions and Financial Aid

A High School diploma or its equivalent is required for enrollment. Students with an enrollment date of more than a year after high school graduation must achieve a passing score on the school's Entrance Assessment Test. Financial aid is provided for eligible students. Anthem Institute offers their own loan program.
