About the School
Argosy University was established in 2001. The online educational programs are provided through Argosy University of Chicago. The programs are based on the curriculum used at the Chicago campus. With the cooperation of 19 campuses, located across the country, the online university provides flexible, degree programs in education, business, health sciences and psychology.
Academic Programs
Argosy provides various Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degree programs in four main areas:
- Business and Information Technology – The program strives to teach students how to solve real world problems and to develop leadership skills.
- Psychology and Behavioral Sciences – The objective of the BA program is to develop a broad understanding of social sciences theory and how to apply the acquired knowledge to real world situations.
- Health Sciences – The program's goal is for students to learn the practical skills required to provide quality health care. Ethical and social responsibility issues are included in the curriculum.
- Education and Human Development – Offers programs in educational instruction and educational leadership. The university's goal is to prepare students to be leaders in the field of education. Interpersonal skills, academics and practical experience are emphasized.
Learning Options
All online lectures are designed to enhance a students practical knowledge rather than repeating textbook readings. Students take the accelerated online classes at their convenience, during the day or night. Instructors are able to provide students individualized attention due to the small online class size. Completion of a given program takes 7.5 weeks. Argosy also provides semester classes.

Their website's live chat platform allows students to get help anytime they need it. The school also offers a 24-hour classroom Technical Help Desk which can be accessed online and by telephone. In addition, an online job listing database is available. Students also have access to:

Each student is provided with an Assistant Director of Admissions, an Academic Advisor, Student Financial Planner and a Mentor Professor. The online students are given the same amount of support as students attending the campus. Most classes include videos, tests, live chats and animation.
Admissions, Loans, Grants and Scholarships
To make the admissions procedure as easy as possible, the university suggests students have an assistant director of admissions help them through the process by telephone. After receiving the applicant's release form, Argosy requests and pays for the applicants college transcripts.
Students register with the Chicago campus, which is their official location of record. A diploma and transcripts will be provided from the Chicago campus upon graduation of the online programs.
Argosy offers flexible tuition payments and payments are made only for classes students will immediately enroll in. Argosy has a variety of options for payment including loans and grants.
