About the School

For over 20 years, the Arizona School of Massage Therapy (ASMT) has been has been providing students with professional massage and esthetics training programs. ASMT has two campus locations in Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona. The school exceeds the standards set by national certification and by most state and municipal governments for licensing, and is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET).

ASMT offers numerous job opportunities for those students starting a new career as massage therapists and estheticians. As a part of the prestigious UCMT Family of Schools and subsidiary of Steiner Leisure Limited, graduates are actively recruited and working at top spa employers.

Academic Programs

Arizona School of Massage Therapy offers the following three programs:

• Professional Massage Training Program: Comprehensive program preparing students to become successful massage therapists in as little as seven months. Students learn a holistic approach to health and healing, as well as Eastern and Western theory and techniques, CPR and First Aid training and certification, Anatomy and Physiology, and Pathology. This program is offered at both ASMT locations.
• Professional Esthetics Training Program: Comprehensive training in the theory of practice of Esthetics, including hands-on clinical experience that allows students to graduate as experienced Estheticians. This program is offered at only the Phoenix campus, and prepares students to sit for the Arizona state licensing exams for Estheticians.
• Masters Bodyworker Program: Full-time program available only to UCMT Family of School graduates. This advanced program builds on the foundation of the Professional Massage Therapy Program and increases a student's skill set for facilitating health and wellness with clients. Classes are only offered at the Tempe campus.

Learning Options

Students have the option of choosing either part-time or full-time programs, with the exception of the Masters Bodyworker Program which is only offered full-time. Students in all programs receive hands-on clinical experience with clients through externships.

Student Life

Arizona School of Massage Therapy offers two convenient commuter locations in Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona. Students benefit from well-equipped classrooms, including top quality massage tables with head rests. Through the UCMT Family of Schools, Relocation Specialists are available to help students find housing or a job.

Admissions and Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Department at Arizona School of Massage Therapy is available to assist students with creating a financial aid and loan package. ASMT is nationally accredited and eligible to participate in Federal Title IV student financial assistance programs. Students have many options, such as federal and state financial aid, grants and loans.
