About the School

Austin's School of Spa Technology provides programs in cosmetology, nail technology, barbering and esthetics. The programs include a substantial amount of hands-on learning. The clinic floor is set up as a full service salon.

Academic Programs

• Cosmetology Certificate program - Provides the skills and knowledge required to pass the NYS Cosmetology Licensing exam. The program thoroughly covers the various aspects of cosmetology. Students learn the basic and popular styles.
• Barbering Certificate program - Provides traditional skills and cutting-edge techniques. The program includes plenty of hands-on training.
• Nail Technology - Students learn the three major applications of artificial nails: wraps, acrylic and gels. The program provides thorough training in the subjects of manicure and pedicure. The program provides a strong foundation in the science of nail care.
• Esthetics Certificate program - Students are prepared to take the NYS Esthetics Licensing exam. Comprehensive training is provided in the various elements of esthetics.

Students may attend Austin's School of Spa Technology full-time or part-time.
