About the School

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, the Automotive Dealership Institute (ADI) offers fast-paced, comprehensive programs in automotive management. ADI was founded in 2005 and offers two programs that are designed to cover the entire retail auto sales process, enabling students to enroll with no prior automotive experience.

The Automotive Dealership Institute is run by individuals with more than 50 combined years of dealership and vocational school experience. All students at ADI, both current and former, are given professional job placement assistance to help ensure students are successful in getting the automotive career they desire. ADI is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges and licensed by the State of Arizona Board for Private Postsecondary Education.

Academic Programs

ADI offers two full-time automotive training courses:

  • Automotive Finance Management – Comprehensive four-week program teaching all aspects of automotive finance management including automotive, motor sports and recreational vehicle dealership operations to deal structuring, lender relations and Internet Department management. Classes start monthly and are held Monday through Fridays for four consecutive weeks.
  • Automotive Service Advisor – Two-week program covering all duties and responsibilities of an Automotive Service Advisor. Customer service is the focus of this program, teaching students proper forms of communication with customers. Classes start monthly and are held Monday through Fridays for four consecutive weeks.

ADI also offers Corporate Automotive Online Training Programs for those individuals who can't attend the on-campus program and want to work at their own pace. The program consists of three sections including finance and insurance; laws, rules and regulations; and F&I presentation process.

Learning Options

The full-time programs at ADI are offered Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Training includes frequent testing and homework each night. ADI has a Learning Resource System that is accessible during the Institute’s regular hours of operation. In addition, students can access a public library that is close to the school.

Faculty

Students at ADI are taught by industry-trained faculty who are professionals with extensive experience. Instructors are always available for students who need extra help with their work.

Student Life

The Automotive Dealership Institute is a commuter school in Scottsdale, Arizona. The full-time programs are rigorous, with homework each night. Students not from the area are offered discounted rates at area hotels.

Admissions and Financial Aid

ADI requires that all incoming students have a high school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED, and be at least 18 years of age. Students must have strong communication and telephone skills, as well as basic typing and math skills. In addition, students should have solid verbal, reading and writing skills. ADI requests that students enroll for class at least two weeks prior to the program start date, and have an enrollment consultation and tour of the school.

The Automotive Dealership Institute is fully approved to offer various state run financial aid options such as grants and student loans. The school also offers attractive student loan packages through Sallie Mae.
