Founded in 1981, Baltimore School of Massage has been providing students with professional massage and esthetics training programs for over 25 years. The school's main campus is outside of Baltimore in Linthicum, Maryland, with a branch location in York, Pennsylvania. With a high level of standards, the school is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) and the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA).

Academic Programs

Baltimore School of Massage offers the following two programs:

  • Professional Massage Training Program: Comprehensive 768-hour program giving students a broad knowledge of both Eastern and Western theories and techniques, including shiatsu, acupressure, structural bodywork, trigger point therapy, rehabilitation massage, sports massage, and cranial sacral therapy.
  • Esthetics Training Program: Comprehensive 660-hour program teaching the most pertinent theoretical and practical components of skin care training, including basic facials, make up application, extensive waxing procedures, non-wax hair removal, and rapid exfoliants. This program is available only at the main campus in Linthicum.

Learning Options

Students have the option of attending classes during the day or evening. The Professional Massage Training day program can be completed in as little as seven months. The school offers massage and skin care clinics to the public, giving students hands-on experience with clients.

Baltimore School of Massage offers two commuter locations. Large classrooms are equipped with massage tables, visual aids and audiovisual equipment. At the main campus in Linthicum, Maryland, students can enjoy a library, student lounge, student clinic, and a Natural Health Shoppe.
