About the School

Bauder College was established in 1962 with a focus on fashion merchandise programs. The school has added other bachelor's and associate degrees and certificate programs in the fields of business, information technology, healthcare and criminal justice. According to Bauder College, professional skills, career focused education and general education are combined in their programs. Kaplan Higher Education owns the college.

The College's Atlanta campus is on the National Register of Historic Places and is readily accessible to major business areas, offering students opportunities for convenient employment opportunities. Academic Programs

Bauder College has numerous education programs including:

  • Business Administration – The program's goal is to prepare students for entry-level positions in marketing, healthcare, entertainment, distribution, technology and fashion.
  • Fashion Merchandising Program – Offers courses such as retailing, product promotion, display, consumer motivation and apparel technology. The program also teaches marketing, management and accounting.
  • Fashion Design Program – The curriculum emphasizes pattern-making, draping, specialty design, clothing construction and story board construction. Computer graphic courses are also included.
  • Computer Networking Program – Provides an introduction to various operating systems and offers the skills required to plan, construct and troubleshoot a network. Students are prepared to take the Microsoft certification exams, the CompTIA A+ and Net + exams as well as the MCP.
  • Graphic Design Program – Encourages creativity and emphasizes technical and presentation abilities. Current graphic design applications are included in the curriculum.
  • Medical Assisting Program – Students are taught the skills required to work in the front or back of a doctor's office, in clinics, health departments and other medical facilities.
  • Interior Design – Students are prepared for entry-level jobs in interior deign and related jobs such as model home merchandiser, residential and commercial design assistant, contractor and/or builders assistant, home furnishing coordinator and CADD operator.

Faculty

The instructors have practical experience in their area of teaching. The instructors emphasize hands-on training. The teachers encourage student participation. Group discussions, projects and demonstrations are part of the curriculums.
