Belhaven University is a Christian, liberal arts university. The school offers associate, bachelor's and master's degrees. The school also offers continuing education and pre-professional programs in ministry, medicine, dentistry, nursing, law and medical technology. On-campus and online programs are available. Belhaven University emphasizes the importance of Christian values and ethics in business.

The Worldview Curriculum, which is at the center of the university's liberal arts program, presents philosophy, history, art and literature as one set of interconnected disciplines.

Academic Programs

• Business Administration Bachelor's Degree program - Prepares students for entry-level management positions and offers a course of study for adult students seeking to enhance their managerial skills. The program reviews the functional components of business - marketing, economics, finance, accounting, law and management.
• Management Bachelor's Degree program - Places an emphases on the roles of leaders in organizations. The program covers subjects such as communications, business law, decision-making, marketing, human resources, international management and entrepreneurship.
• Health Administration Bachelor's Degree program - Provides a broad knowledge of the health administration industry, including managed care and long term care administration. Some of the subjects covered are human resources, management information systems, organizational behavior, healthcare quality management and outcomes analysis, and financial administration of healthcare.
• Social Services Bachelor's Degree program - Places an emphasis on students understanding and applying social services principles in their everyday lives. Some of the topics covered are Christian social responsibility, human growth and development, introduction to counseling theory and techniques, introduction to sociology, social stratification and social services practice. In addition, a concentration in Christian ministries is available.
• Associate of Arts Degree program - A Christian liberal arts program, which serves as a stepping stone to a business administration bachelors's degree. The program is taught from a Christian perspective. Some of the subjects covered are financial planning, literature history, personal life management skills and biblical studies.
• Master of Business Administration program - Combines the academic world, the practical and technologically dependent career world and the eternal world of Christian faith. Students are prepared for upper middle management and top management positions. Strategic management concepts and principles are emphasized.
• Master of Science in Leadership program - Designed to enhance the skills of business managers and executives. The curriculum is designed to develop students' ability to understand internal and external legal, social, political and economic forces as they effect the decision making process in an organization. The program provides important functional skills in team building, organizational leadership, finance, entrepreneurship and accounting.
