About the School

Blue Cliff College began in 1987 as a massage therapy training school. Today, the college has numerous locations and also offers occupational associate degree and diploma programs in medical assisting, cosmetology, and criminal justice. The school's objective is to prepare graduates for specific jobs as well as to offer insights into social responsibilities and ethical conduct. Continuing Education Classes are also offered at some facilities. Program availability varies by campus.

Academic Programs

  • Massage Therapy – Teaching is based on massage therapy being a science and an art form. Also, students are prepared to take the national certification exam.
  • Medical Assisting – The curriculum prepares students for entry-level jobs in medical offices, hospitals and clinics. Students receive training in front and back office tasks. Courses are provided in medical science and office administration.
  • Criminal Justice Program – Students are taught the skills required for entry-level positions in the criminal justice system including the fields of corrections, juvenile justice, security, homeland security and other related fields. A basic understanding of the civic and criminal justice systems is provided.

Student Life

Typically, each facility has about 100 students or less. Most of the students are female. A large number of the enrollees are working professionals desiring to change or improve their careers. Blue Cliff College offers career services to graduates.

Admissions and Financial Aid

A high school diploma or a GED credential is required for enrollment. Students must be at lease 18 years old and have an interview with a school representative. Federal aid and other types of funding are available to qualified students.
