About the School
Founded in 1946 as a broadcasting school, Brown College is a career school which offers programs in the subjects of technology, criminal justice, visual communications, business management, television production, broadcasting and design. Hands-on training is a major part of the curriculums. According to Brown College, the programs utilize industry-current equipment and labs. The college is owned by the Career Education Corporation.
Academic Programs
- Broadcasting Programs – Includes radio and television broadcasting courses. Students receive training on equipment and software similar to industry standards. The television production curriculum offers training with linear and non-linear editing with Avid Software.
- School of Design – Offers curriculums in digital photography, interior design and visual communications.
- School of Technology – Includes curriculums in game design and development, information technology, network development, and software development.
- Business Management – Teaches general business management theory and practice. Finance, marketing, human resource management, and other subjects are part of the curriculum.
- Criminal Justice – The program combines theory and practice. The roles, the functions and the operations of the courts, corrections, and probation departments are examined.

Faculty
A large number of the instructors are employed in the fields that they teach. Instructors are available for personalized assistance.
Student Life
Approximately 1500 students attend the college. The Career Assistance Services department helps students find part-time work and assists graduates locate full-time jobs. Regarding recreational activities, the school offers an organized touch football program.
Admissions and Financial Aid
