California Intercontinental University
About the School
Located in Diamond Bar, CA, approximately 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, California Intercontinental University is located in one of the most dynamic economic and cultural regions in the country. CalUniversity was incorporated in the State of California in 2003, allowing it to operate as a distance education institution that gives local and international students the ability learn and implement innovative ideas relating to a business and technological environment.
CalUniversity offers accelerated degree programs in business administration, information technology, health care management and administration, and Hollywood and entertainment management. Students have many different degree options including bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and dual-degree programs, some of which can be completed in as little as 12 months. CalUniversity has approval from the State of California Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education to grant advanced degrees, and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).

Learning Options
CalUniversity offers students online Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs through two delivery models, their FlexiLearn and RAPID delivery models. The FlexiLearn model is for students who like set their own pace but not entirely through an online program, using traditional methods of distance learning program like printed materials as well as the features of modern instructional design. The RAPID delivery model was designed for technically advanced learners who desire more control of the time and place for learning, featuring a structured learning path that is enhanced by modern instructional design using the latest in e-learning methodologies.

Due to the distant learning nature of CalUniversity, the students and faculty interact with each other in a virtual environment.
Admissions and Financial Aid
There are several requirements for admission, depending on the desired degree program. Copies of high school diplomas or GED certificates, and college transcripts showing cumulative GPA must be submitted for review. For the Master's and Professional Doctorate programs, applicants must also provide their Curriculum Vitae or professional resume. A minimal cumulative GPA of C is required for admission to the Master's Program, with a minimal cumulative GPA of B for the Doctorate programs. The Doctorate program has additional requirements as well, as do international students, and the school can be contacted for more information.
CalUniversity fees are among the lowest in the industry. Financial aid is not available, but students can seek private loans to help fund their education.
