California University of Pennsylvania (Cal U) is a public university part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, dedicated to liberal arts, science and technology, and professional studies. Founded in 1852, Cal U is located in southwest Pennsylvania and enrolls more than 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Academic Programs

Cal U Global Online mirrors the school's traditional programs, with students of traditional and online programs earning the same degrees. Both undergraduate and graduate programs are offered. All programs at Cal U Global Online are based on a cohort format, a group of 30-40 students who enter and progress through the program at the same time, creating a professional cohort of students.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Admission requirements vary by program, but in general, candidates must have a high school degree or GED equivalent for undergraduate programs and a baccalaureate degree from an accredited university or college for graduate programs. Programs may also have minimum GPA requirements, as well as testing requirements.

Cal U Global Online students are given the same consideration for financial aid as those students in traditional campus programs. Cal U provides approximately 90% of all students with some form of financial aid, with options such as loans, grants, scholarships, and work-study jobs.
