About Cambridge College
Cambridge College, now named Anthem College and a part of Anthem Education Group, offers career-focused curriculums for employment in healthcare fields. Practical experience is a major part of the curriculums. The programs are designed to provide the skills in demand by healthcare employers. Cambridge College Academic Programs
Program areas of study include:
- Dental Assistant – Training is provided in basic laboratory tasks, dental health, preventive dentistry and dental x-ray. The curriculum also provides training in the fundamentals of dental office procedures.
- Medical Billing and Coding – Offers a foundation in healthcare and health insurance as well as the necessary skills for insurance billing and medical coding. The program provides insights into insurance claim reimbursement methodologies.
- Medical Assistant – Students learn theory and practical applications in the basics of medical diagnostic techniques. The fundamentals of clinical and laboratory tasks and doctors' office procedures are included in the curriculum.
- Pharmacy Technician – The program's objective is to provide a basic understanding of prescription and non-prescription drugs, dietary supplements and herbal remedies. A foundation regarding the functions of hospital and retail pharmacies is also provided.
- Massage Therapy – Offers training in Swedish massage and other types of treatments such as hydrotherapy, deep tissue massage, reflexology and sports massage. Students learn to operate a massage therapy business.
- Surgical Technologist – Designed to ready students to take the NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) TECH in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) NCCT Certification Examination. Covers anatomy, physiology, surgical skills, laboratory procedures, CPR, equipment, bandaging, and more. Includes an externship at a medical facility.
- Limited Scope X-ray Technician – Readies students for the Colorado State Competency Evaluation for a Limited Scope X-ray Technician.
- Technology – Offers concentrations in CAD/Drafting, computer networking, and electronics technology.
