About the School

Career Point College provides associate degrees and diplomas in the subjects of business, medical, computer and legal. Hands-on learning is emphasized in the programs. The college reports that its classes are designed for busy adults. According to the college, a computer is located at every desk.

Academic Programs

A selection of the programs available is shown below:

• Network Support Specialist – Students are trained to install and maintain network components and assess and troubleshoot devices and procedures.
• Medical Administrative Assistant – Trains students to perform a variety of duties in computerized medical offices and medical facilities. The program combines general education and technical courses.
• Legal Administrative Assisting – Offers training in legal and business procedures for computerized office settings. Training in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and windows-based application software is included.
• Medical Office Specialist – Prepares graduates for entry-level positions in a medical facility. The program emphasizes cardiovascular terminology, phlebotomy procedures, anatomy, physiology, EKG procedures and infection control. Front office procedures are also reviewed.
• PC Technician – Graduates have opportunities to seek employment as personal computer technicians. Training is provided in identifying, testing, analyzing and repairing of personal computers. Network components and installation procedures are also included. Students are prepared to take A+ Core and OS certification examinations.
• Early Childhood Education – Students are trained to meet children's educational, emotional, physical and social needs in an educational environment.
