About Central Pennsylvania College
Central Pennsylvania College, a career-oriented school, has been offering educational programs since 1881. Bachelor's degrees and associates degrees are provided in a wide variety of fields including business, information technology, legal, healthcare and administration. Certificates are also offered in numerous fields. Students also have the opportunity to take online programs. In addition, articulation is offered to high school students from identified schools. This policy prevents students from duplicating coursework.
The college's philosophy is based on community mindedness, which prepares students to be contributing members of society. The Central Pennsylvania College main campus consists of about 35 acres and includes five academic facilities. The school also includes the Kids On-Campus Child Development Center.
Central Pennsylvania College Academic Programs
Bachelor degrees are offered in a wide variety of three-year and four-year programs. The associate degrees take two years to complete. Certificates are available in accounting and advanced accounting, human resources, forensic criminalistics and intelligence analysis. Practical learning is a major part of all the career-focused programs.

Student Life
Central Pennsylvania College is a drug and alcohol free school. Every student must fulfill a service requirement before they graduate. The service hours can be fulfilled on campus or in a community organization. Common Hour events provide students opportunities to enhance their leadership skills and to gain a perspective on spiritual and cultural aspects of life. The college offers the Leadership Honor Academy and the Student Leadership Training Institute for enrollees interested in enhancing their leadership skills. On-campus housing consists of townhouses and apartments. The college offers a wide assortment of clubs and activities.
Admissions and Financial Aid
An official high school transcript, or a GED, or a Pennsylvania Home School Diploma is required for admittance. An interview with an admissions counselor is also required. Most of the students receive some type of financial aid including scholarships, grants and loans. A need-based federal employment program is available for qualified students desiring to work while attending the college.
