About the School
Founded in 1980 Clayton College of Natural Health, (CCNH) is an online, distance learning school that offers programs in alternative health education including holistic nutrition, traditional naturopathy, natural health and wellness. The school is a member of about 20 different organizations and affiliations tied to their mission. These include holistic and natural health agencies, naturopathic boards, herbalists groups, practitioner associations and more.
Academic Programs
The school's programs are built around the principle of natural healing that takes place when a human body receives what it needs, such as fresh air, sunlight, appropriate diet, exercise and rest. Courses cover topics that range from underlying philosophies to practical applications. Several programs are designed to ready students to become a naturopath, a natural health consultant, or to mesh alternative health approaches into an established healthcare practice.
Graduates are eligible to obtain certification as traditional naturopaths and natural wellness. Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition graduates are eligible to apply for board certification which would lead them to be earn the official title of Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition. Students may be eligible for designation as RNCP (Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner) or Certified Comprehensive Iridologist.

Faculty
The CCNH academics department is committed to the educational success of the student body. Students are assigned a program advisor at the time of enrollment. The diverse faculty consists of experts in the field of natural health. The staff includes a physician, a master herbalist, massage therapists, doctors of naturopathy, chiropractor, nutritionists as well as other specialist in the field.
Student Life
The school is building a network of online community members consisting of students and graduates involved in their holistic nutrition, natural health, herbology, iridology, companion animal studies, traditional naturopathy and lifestyles certificate programs.
Admissions and Financial Aid
Applicants must have graduated from high school or satisfactory completion of the GED. Home-schooled students will be evaluated through their portfolios. Bachelor’s level applicants may be eligible for life and work credit. An essay communicating the prospect's interest in natural health and/or holistic nutrition is required.
Previously earned college credits may be transferable to the school after evaluation. Graduate program applicants are required to submit transcripts validating completion of prerequisite degrees.
Scholarships are available through a essay program. The program is designed to gain insight into the applicant's vision, their community experience, the educational goals of the student and their plans for the use of the scholarship funds.
