About the School
Colorado Technical University Online (CTU Online) is the online extension of Colorado Technical University, an institution founded over 40 years ago that has trained over 38,000 students. CTU Online provides career-focused educational programs in the areas of business and management, criminal justice, public administration, healthcare and information technology.
Academic Certificates are built into every curriculum so without taking any additional courses, students can add value to their degree program by completing the specific certificate requirements.
Academic Programs
CTU Online degree programs are organized by the following colleges:
- College of Business and Management – Business administration concentration options encompass accounting finance, healthcare, human resources, IT, international business, marketing, project management, operations management, technology management and more. The school's accounting students learn problem solving skills to address accounting issues and learn how to work with financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Accounting careers paths can include Budget Analysts, General Accountants, Controllers, and more.
- College of Criminal Justice and Public Administration – Modules cover paralegal studies and criminal justice. The bachelor's criminal justice track offers a forensic study unit not typically available at the undergraduate level.
- College of Health Sciences – There are online learning opportunities in healthcare management, medical billing and coding and nursing (RN to BSN).
- College of Information Systems and Technology – The Information Technology track includes options for concentration in network management, security, software systems engineering, information systems security and information technology management.
- Interdepartmental – Allows students to earn an Associate of Science in General Studies.
Learning Options
- Students entering as freshman can complete the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in about two and a half years.
- Depending on transfer credits and advanced standing options, students may enter the program at the freshman, sophomore or junior level
- Partnership program with Institute for Advanced Dispute Resolution gives students an opportunity to earn a Advanced Practitioner of Mediation certificate
- Master's Advantage™ Program gives students a head start on their Master's degree by substituting two undergraduate courses for two graduate-level courses

Student Life
Recently the CTU Online launched CTUMobile, a mobile learning channel that delivers educational materials via web-enabled devices like cell phones.
The school's Online Academic Library is available 24/7. The digital resources include articles from newspapers, magazines and scholarly journals.
Admissions and Financial Aid
Prospective students must submit proof of high school graduation or equivalency. Post graduate degree applicants need to submit their baccalaureate transcript. All applicants are required to complete a telephone interview.
Financial Aid is available to students who qualify. A CTU Online Financial Aid Advisor helps students navigate through the financial aid process. Students may initiate their application by completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
