Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) was established in 1906. The school provides a large number of graduate and undergraduate programs. However, in the future, the credits can be applied to a bachelor's degree. The program examines the principles of effective intervention, case management practices, strategies for reducing offender risk factors and other issues.
• Professional Certificate in Youth Services – Designed to offer core knowledge to professionals seeking to enhance their higher education credentials. The curriculum offers a thorough review of reducing juvenile offender risk factors, counseling techniques, case management techniques and other topics.
• Graduate Certificate in Correctional/Juvenile Justice Leadership – The four course program provides comprehensive courses in administrative duties, offender rehabilitation techniques and law and ethics. Depending on the students' area of specialization, they also must take a course in either juvenile justice or adult corrections.
