About the School

Everglades University, was established in 1990 as American Flyers College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The main campus of Everglades University relocated to Boca Raton, Florida in 2004. The university offers on-campus and online bachelor's and master's degrees.

Academic Programs

A collection of programs available from Everglades includes:

• Business Administration Bachelor's Degree program - Students learn how to be active participants in the dynamic business world. The program provides opportunities to apply theories to real world problems. The program prepares students for managerial positions.
• Aviation Management Bachelor's Degree program - Provides business knowledge and management skills for the aviation and aerospace industry. Students are prepared for management positions with airlines, aerospace/aviation companies, and federal, state and local government agencies.
• Alternative Medicine Bachelor's Degree program - Covers subjects such as herbology, botany, nutrition and aging, homeopathy, traditional Chinese medicine and antioxidants. The classes are suited for healthcare professionals such as nurses, spa directors, massage therapists and medical assistants who desire to integrate natural healing arts into their careers.
• Aviation Technology Bachelor's Degree program - Includes a wide array of specialized aviation courses and general education and management courses.
• Construction Management Bachelor's Degree program - Provides business knowledge and management skills for the construction industry. The program covers topics such as construction contracts, construction scheduling, building codes and quality control, building construction drawing, construction law, and managing a construction project.
• Applied Management Bachelor's Degree program - Focuses on financial management, operational management and human resource management. Students have the opportunity to learn and refine management skills.
• Business Administration Master's Degree program - Has a broad-based administrative emphasis. The program places an emphasis on sound general principles and decision making techniques.
• Aviation Science Master's Degree program - Students are provided a broad based curriculum. The program covers subjects including airport operations, transportation systems, aerospace logistics, aerospace communications systems, advanced crew resource management procedures, advanced security and safety program management, and aerospace systems safety.

Faculty

All faculty members at Everglades University have a master's degree or a Ph.D. Due to the small class sizes, the instructors are able to provide individualized attention.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Applicants of Everglades University are required to have a high school diploma or a GED. Everglades University has a rolling admissions policy. In addition, financial services department staff members assist students in putting together a financial aid package. Financial Aid is available for those who qualify.
