About Indiana State University Online
Founded in 1865, Indiana State University is a public university located in Terre Haute, Indiana. Some distance learning programs require some on-campus visits, while many can be completed entirely online. Learning Options
Distance learning courses at Indiana State University are delivered via the internet and are academically equivalent to campus courses. Some courses may include video and audio components, as well as web-based conferencing. Many programs can be completed entirely online while others may require minimal campus visits. All distance learning students are considered part-time students, with the University allowing part-time students a time limit of seven years to complete degree work. The minimum time to complete an online degree is one and one-half years. Classes follow campus schedules with courses offered in the fall, spring, and summer.

Student Life
Online students receive comprehensive services through the Office of Distance Support Services, including technical assistance, admission and credit transfer assistance, library services, and an online bookstore, among others.
Admissions and Financial Aid
Students interested in enrolling in a distance learning course or program must apply to Indiana State University as either a degree-seeking or non-degree seeking student. Application requirements vary by program and interested students should review each program for details. Financial aid is offered for those students enrolled in a semester-based degree program with a minimum amount of coursework per term. The Office of Financial Aid is available to assist students throughout the process.
