About the School

Institute for Business and Technology (IBT) provides career training programs. The programs include plenty of hands-on learning.

Academic Programs

  • Commercial Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning program - Provides training in the various aspects of the HVACR field. Students learn to install and service equipment. The program prepares students for entry-level positions.
  • Electrician - DAS Certified program - Prepares students for entry-level electrician positions. The programs covers wiring installation, electrical code, conduit bending, manual and electrical industrial controls and, motors and transformer systems. Students are prepared for positions in residential and industrial maintenance and new construction electrical work.
  • Lab Assistant, EKG Technician/Phlebotomist program - Students learn to perform laboratory services in bacteriology, hematology, electrocardiography, urinalyses, vital signs and phlebotomy. Students are prepared for entry-level positions as an EKG technician/lab assistant or phlebotomist.
  • Medical Assistant Program - Provides training in clinical procedures, assisting doctors in medical examinations and administrative duties. Students are prepared to take the National Center Competency Testing examination in order to become a National Certified Medical Assistant or the American Medical Technologists examination to become a Registered Medical Assistant. The program includes an externship in a work environment.
  • Medical Biller/Coder/Office Specialist program - Provides training in medical coding and billing procedures. Training is provided in current medical software. Students learn to code and prepare insurance claims and to analyze benefits. The program includes an externship in a work environment.
