About the School

The Institute of Production and Recording (IPR) provides education programs in the music and entertainment business as well as in audio production and engineering. The school incorporates a liberal arts education with technical and business training.

Academic Programs

  • Media Arts Music and Entertainment Associate Degree program - Combines multimedia communication and marketing techniques and business economics and analysis in the print, graphic and virtual fields. The program includes professional equipment, tools and software utilized throughout the industry. In the elective classes students and instructors work with professionals to develop materials used in actual press campaigns, record releases, marketing programs and digital video productions.
  • Media Arts- Audio Production and Engineering Associate Degree program - Offers hands-on learning with the newest production equipment. Training is provided in audio engineering, music production and the music business. The program includes artistic and technical skills. Students are involved in real-world studio projects. The students place an emphasis on music production, audio engineering or post production to make sure they receive advanced training in a focused skill set.
  • Pro Tools Certification - The Digidesign Training and Education program provides a full curriculum which helps students become proficient using Pro Tools systems. Students can choose individual courses. Students can work toward certification as a Pro Tools Expert or a Pro Tools Operator.
  • Apple Logic Certification - The school is an Apple Authorized Training center. The school offers certification training in Logic Pro. The Apple Pro Training Series is Apple's official curriculum.
