About the School

IntelliTec Medical Institute offers career-focused programs in the fields of healthcare, dental assisting, and massage therapy. The institute offers associate degrees and certificates. The programs are structured to blend theory and practical experience. The institute is owned by the N B Education LLC.

Academic Programs

Programs offered by IntelliTec include:

• Massage Therapist Associate Degree – Includes training in Swedish, sports, deep tissue and therapeutic massage techniques. Training in reflexology and neuromuscular therapy are also part of the curriculum. Students are prepared to sit for the National Certification exam upon graduation.
• Dental Assistant Certificate – Offers a strong foundation in dental office management, dental science, radiography, dental materials and dental specialities. A clinical internship is included in the curriculum. Graduates of the program may take the nationally recognized Certified Dental Assistant Examination.
• Dental Assistant's Expanded Duty Certificate – The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning. Students are provided with comprehensive training in tooth morphology, the properties of amalgam, cavity classifications, cavity preparations and carving and finishing restorations.
• Medical Administration Assistant Associate Degree – Offers skills in the business and technology aspects of the field. Training in medical office procedures is also provided. Graduates have the opportunity to take the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant certification and the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist certification exams. An externship is included in the program.
• Medical Assistant – Students learn medical terminology, pharmacology, anatomy, physiology and clinical and diagnostic procedures. Students are prepared to take the American Medical Technologist National Registry exam.
• Medical Laboratory Technician Associate Degree – Offers training in a variety of medical laboratory testing procedures. Graduates are eligible to take a national registry examination through American Medical Technologists.

Faculty

The professional instructors are able to offer one-on-one attention due to the small class sizes.

Student Life

The student population is typically over 300 and most students are women. The Student Services department offers a variety of assistance. In addition, the Career Services department provides lifetime placement assistance. The Federal work-study program is available to qualified students.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Students are required to have a high school diploma or a GED certificate to attend IntelliTec Medical Institute. The admissions process can be initiated online or by calling a toll-free telephone number. Financial aid office personnel assist students in locating appropriate financial assistance sources. Financial aid such as federal grants and loans, institutional scholarships, veteran's contributory benefits and vocational rehabilitation for veterans are available to qualified students.
