About the School

Jones College was established in 1918. The institution provides undergraduate degrees and diplomas in various subject areas including business, medical and computers. Academic Programs

The college offers a variety of undergraduate degree programs. Several of the program areas include:

• Medical Assistant – Offers training for entry-level positions as a medical assistant and medical office assistant. Business and general education courses are also part of the curriculum. The externship program provides students with real-world experience.
• Legal Assistant – Prepares enrollees for entry-level jobs in law firms, government agencies, insurance companies, savings and loan associations and title companies. The program includes a variety of legal courses as well as general education and business classes.
• Computer Information Systems – Offers a collection of computer programming courses along with pertinent business classes and general education courses. Students are prepared for entry-level jobs as a computer programmer, system analyst and other jobs in computer information systems.
• Business Administration – Students are trained for entry-level employment in business administration. The courses also include the knowledge necessary for students to advance into a managerial position in their career field.
• Elementary Education – Prepares students for entry-level employment in public school systems. Enrollees are offered the skills required for teachers and facilitators. Training in science, language arts, mathematics and social studies is included in the curriculum.
• Allied Health Management – Blends business courses with medical office and technical training. Students are provided the knowledge and skills for employment as medical assistants as well as to advance into entry-level management positions.
