Studying I Am Currently Working On A Master's In Education.

• 11/27/2011
"I am currently very satisfied. Being able to work and get my Master's is why I chose this program, and so far I am able to do both!"

| Would Recommend? | yes | I would recommend this program to others in my situation. The price is worth the convenience. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 6 | I feel that a wide range of topics is covered, providing a well rounded look at the education field. Many of the topics covered were barely touched in my undergrad experience, so I feel this is extremely useful information as opposed to a refresher. |
| Instruction | There is not a lot for me to compare it to as it is my only post graduate experience. I feel the experience is better than my undergrad experience, but I just don't feel qualified to rate it. | |
| Cost | 3 | I did shop around before deciding to attend Keiser. While it is on the cheaper end of online degree programs, online programs are a lot more expensive than traditional options. Traditional options, even though cheaper, just would not work for my situation. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 9 | I teach full time, and have all of the work hours plus the grading and planning that comes with this. The online program is ideal for me because I can complete classes around my busy schedule without having to sacrifice either commitment. |
| Academic Facilities | I can't really rate these things as an online student. There is decent online support though, so I would think the in person support would be even better. | |
| Social Life | Once again, being an online student, I can't judge these things. I have not heard other students talking about them on forums, so I don't have any way to assess. | |
| Placement Services | Once again, I know this support exists. I have heard positive experiences from others, but have not used these services. | |
| Alumni Network | I am still relatively new to the program. I know this support exists, but I have not found much use to fully explore/utilize it yet. |

Studying AA In Health Services Administration (completion in: 2010)

"I didn't learn anything that will help me find a job. The classes were uninspiring. My course included a computer that never worked."

| Would Recommend? | no | Unable to find a job in my field so that now I have a massive student loan to pay back that I can't afford working my $9/hr retail job. Too expensive for such low level learning. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 3 | I have a family member who is now taking almost the exact same program at another school. He is taking better classes, is learning things I never heard of, and the teachers seem to know what they are doing. |
| Instruction | 3 | Half the classes taught you nothing at all. The teachers weren't very helpful. |
| Cost | 1 | Considering that I now know of many grants and scholarships I should have been told about which would have helped with my expenses, I'm very upset. Also the cost of some of the books was outrageous. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 6 | Not bad since it's an online program we're talking about. As long as you log in on time, all was well. |
| Academic Facilities | 1 | There is no such thing as help if you really needed it. Easier to just find information online or at the public library. |
| Social Life | 1 | This is about the online classes, right? There are no social interactions beyond class. |
| Placement Services | 2 | Yeah it's there, but they don't really help. Not all their fault that you aren't taught enough to get a job. |
| Alumni Network | 1 | Don't recall there being any. Unless you are one of the "in crowd," there wasn't much help at all. |

Studying Associate's In Science Nursing, RN (completion in: 2012)

"I pay too much money, and the building leaves some to be desired, but the important thing is that I get a quality education and a job after I graduate. I feel very confident that I am learning what I need to and that I will have a job when I get out."

| Would Recommend? | maybe | This school is very challenging. You have to do what they want and they have very strict rules as far as attendance and professionalism is concerned. I would not recommend this school to someone who is immature or not willing to work hard. I would recommend Keiser to students who are focused and have goals that they are willing to work hard to achieve. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 9 | The teachers take a real interest in helping the students. We begin our clinical experience the first semester. We are given a great deal of hands-on training. We use the ATI testing system to prepare for the NCLEX exam. This program is very hard. Keiser has higher standards than other schools, but if you get through it, then you will be a great nurse. |
| Instruction | 10 | Each week we attend clinical, which gives us real-world, hands-on experience. We also spend time in the lab every week, practicing our skills. We have text books, and online tutorials which help us prepare for our tests. We are tested on knowledge, application, skills, and on our clinical participation. I feel that I am being well-prepared for my career as an RN. |
| Cost | 2 | It is extremely expensive. I pay over $8000 per semester. The local community college charges $2500 (average). I am only willing to pay this price because it is an excellent school and I didn't have to wait to start classes. I was accepted to another nursing program, but there was a 2 year wait. With Keiser, I will be making money before that program would have started. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | During gen-ed classes, you can choose between two day schedules and 1 night schedules. However, once you start your chore coursework for your field of study, there is no flexibility at all. |
| Academic Facilities | 4 | My campus is very small. The library is not as up-to-date as it could be. The building looks nice, but the AC doesn't work right and we freeze during class. As far as supplies for the nursing program, we have good, high quality supplies provided to us. We have a 6-bed hospital lab with 5 electronic "dummies" to practice our skills on. Over-all, I am happy. |
| Social Life | 2 | There are no athletic programs. We do have a student government, but very few participate. There are no social events. This is not a traditional college - it is a career school. |
| Placement Services | 7 | While in school, the job services are very poor. I don't know anyone who got a job while in school. However, after graduation, all nursing students get jobs. My campus places 100% of its nurses. Other fields of study may not have that success. |
| Alumni Network | 2 | I have attended Keiser for 18 months. I don't know anything about their alumni network. We have a strong teacher network, but as far as alumni, there isn't much going on. |
