About the School
The Kitchen Academy is a professional culinary school that offers an Accelerated Training System. Through this system, students can acquire a Professional Culinary Arts diploma in 30 weeks.
The Academy's chef created programs provide 100% hands-on training. The courses are designed for non-experienced students and culinary industry personnel seeking professional credentials.
Academic Programs
The Kitchen Academy's program areas and details vary by campus. The areas include:
- Professional Culinary Arts - Offers fundamentals and advanced cooking techniques. The program features commercial grade equipment in a hands-on learning environment. The accelerated program concentrates on teaching the techniques required for professional kitchens. Cooking and baking skills are emphasized. In addition, students are required to complete a six-week internship in a professional kitchen.
- Professional Baking and Pastry - Utilizes the school's Accelerated Training System in a small class, hands-on environment. The program provides professional grade equipment and teaches the basics as well as advanced baking and decorative skills. The program's goal is to provide students with the abilities needed to work in a professional pastry kitchen. In order to graduate, students are required to complete a six week internship in a professional kitchen.
Learning Options
- Courses are initiated eight times per year
- Classes begin at 6am, noon and in the evenings

Student Notes
Career service personnel assist students in finding jobs in the culinary industry. The campus includes student areas and resource centers. The campus does not have dormitories, however, Student Services personnel do offer information regarding housing.
Faculty Notes
The Academy's experienced teachers use a practical teaching approach. There is no classroom time. The instructors have experience from the restaurant, catering and hospitality industries.
Admissions, Loans, Grants and Scholarships
Admissions representatives assist applicants with completing the application process. Verification of high school graduation or equivalent is required. Students must pass the Wonderlick Scholastic Level Exam.
Flexible payment plans are available. Financial aid is offered to eligible students. Tuition planning assistance is available.
