About Lamson College

Lamson College is regarded as the oldest private college located in Arizona. Owned by Delta Career Education Corporation, the college provides career-focused education in the fields of medicine, legal and business. The associate degree and diploma programs emphasize hands-on learning. According to Lamsom College, their objective is to offer the latest advancements in industry and technology.

Lamson College Academic Programs

The college offers career-oriented programs including:

  • Medical Assisting Degree – Includes the skills required to assist doctor's with examinations and to perform basic laboratory tasks. Enrollees also learn to record, monitor and mount electrocardiograms.
  • Paralegal Associate Degree – Trains students to be proficient with computers and offers specific legal skills. The curriculum includes a comprehensive general education.
  • Medical Billing Specialist Diploma – Students are provided with a solid foundation in the medical billing field. Learning basic medical terminology is part of the program.
  • Surgical Technologist Diploma – Students are trained to be part of an operating room healthcare team. The curriculum also includes the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology.

Student Life

Most of the students are in-state residents and attend the college on a full-time basis. The enrollment is about 300 and a majority of the students are women. The Student Services department offers academic advising and student employment services.

Admissions and Financial Aid

The college has a Program Participation Agreement with the U.S. Department of Education which allows qualified students to acquire Pell Grants and other types of federal aid.
