Lamson College is regarded as the oldest private college located in Arizona. Owned by Delta Career Education Corporation, the college provides career-focused education in the fields of medicine, legal and business. Lamson College Academic Programs

The college offers career-oriented programs including:

• Medical Assisting Degree – Includes the skills required to assist doctor's with examinations and to perform basic laboratory tasks. Enrollees also learn to record, monitor and mount electrocardiograms.
• Paralegal Associate Degree – Trains students to be proficient with computers and offers specific legal skills. The curriculum includes a comprehensive general education.
• Medical Billing Specialist Diploma – Students are provided with a solid foundation in the medical billing field. Learning basic medical terminology is part of the program.
• Surgical Technologist Diploma – Students are trained to be part of an operating room healthcare team. The curriculum also includes the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology.

Student Life

Most of the students are in-state residents and attend the college on a full-time basis. The enrollment is about 300 and a majority of the students are women. The Student Services department offers academic advising and student employment services.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Admissions personnel guide the applicants through the admissions procedure. The college has a Program Participation Agreement with the U.S. Department of Education which allows qualified students to acquire Pell Grants and other types of federal aid. State and institutional grants are also provided.
