About the School

Founded in 1946 with the goal of helping WWII veterans quickly enter skilled trades, the school now offers hands-on training programs for a variety of careers including HVAC, Automotive, Health Sciences, Business and IT, Skilled Trades, Cosmetology and Culinary Arts. Lincoln Tech has a number of U.S. campuses.

The Lincoln Tech programs are nationally accredited, state licensed, career-driven in scope, and include career-placement assistance.

The school's training programs have been created with the goal of ensuring that students are work-ready upon graduation. Classes are taught on industry-standard equipment with experienced instructors to help smooth transitions into new jobs.

Academic Programs

Lincoln's program availability varies by location. Study areas across all campuses include:

  • Automotive and Diesel – Targeted for students that are passionate about automobiles and want to channel their enjoyment of working with their hands into a career. Study areas include: Automotive, Collision Repair, and Diesel.
  • Skilled Trades – Studies target trades that are continually in demand. Areas of study include: Drafting, Electrical Technology/Engineering, Electrician, Electronic Engineering, Electronic Systems Technician, HVAC, and Welding.
  • Business and Information Technology (IT) – Aimed at building basic business and computer skills that help land entry-level positions in criminal justice, networking, or business administration.
  • Spa and Cosmetology – Designed to give students the baseline expertise and skills they will need for entry into massage therapy and cosmetology.
  • Culinary Arts – Courses emphasize practical, on-the-job oriented training that focuses on technique, preparation, and professionalism.
  • Healthcare – Structured to ready students for jobs that work with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Lincoln offers what it calls its Doctor’s Office Classroom (DOC), which provides real-world training in a simulated doctor’s office. Healthcare study areas include: Massage Therapy, Medical Administration/Coding and Billing, Medical Assisting, Nursing, and Pharmacy Technician.

Learning Options

Flexible scheduling is available with classes in the morning, afternoon, and evening to enable students to work while attending classes.

Student Life

Opportunities for housing vary by campus. Some schools have dormitories while others refer students to off-campus housing. All campuses invite commuters to attend.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Applicants are required to have a high school diploma or GED and all students must pass an entrance exam. Prospective students are contacted by a Career Advisor for a personal interview.
