Established in 1904, Loyola University New Orleans is a Jesuit College that is open to all faiths. The campus-based school offers broad range of graduate and undergraduate degree programs. Loyola's online school builds on its over 25 years of experience providing education to registered nurses. The online studies lead to a Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a specialization in Health Care Systems Management (MSN-HCSM). RNs which have a non-nursing bachelor's degree may be admitted to the online MSN Blend Program without acquiring a BSN degree.

The curriculum is designed to be comprehensive in its study of nursing administration management, finance, quality assurance, leadership and health promotions. The program offers a foundation in disease prevention/management, management care strategies, integrated delivery systems and workforce management. The program adheres to the standards set by the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and the standards of Practice for Case Managers published by the Case Management Society of America.
Upon completion of the MSN-HCSM program students have the opportunity to earn professional certificates.

Faculty
The online nursing program is taught by full-time faculty members with the vast majority holding doctoral or terminal degrees in their field of expertise. The online instructors also teach in standard classrooms.
Student Life
Students have access to the university's extensive and well regarded academic library. The course websites provide class lectures, discussion questions, course materials and include class discussions. Students also have the opportunity to communicate with other enrollees through online forums.
Students are assigned faculty advisers according to their interests. Advisers are available during the academic year, particularly during orientation and registration times.
Admissions and Financial Aid
Students for the MSN Health Care Systems Management program are required to have a BSN degree or a bachelor's degree in any subject with completion of the Loyola MSN Bridge Program. A current and unrestricted RN license to practice in the United States is also required. For financial aid, grants and loans are available for eligible students. The school also notes that it offers competitively priced tuition.
