About Medix School
Medix School is primarily an allied health training institution. The school also provides several other types of curriculums including welding technology and heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. Medix School Academic Programs
The school offers training programs in a number of areas. Several of these include:
- Medical Assistant – The program offers a broad understanding of medical office and laboratory procedures and front office skills. Enrollees gain experience through an externship in a doctor's office, laboratory, hospital or clinic.
- Dental Assistant – Offers a strong foundation in dental office and laboratory tasks. Students are prepared for entry-level employment in a dental office.
- Pharmacy Technician – The comprehensive curriculum reviews the theories, reference materials and skills offered by several certifying organizations. Coursework is provided in chemistry, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, prescription language, law and ethics, prescription calculations, alternative medicine, compounding and other subjects. Graduates have the opportunity to take the National Certified Pharmacy Technician exam.
- EMT-Intermediate – Students are trained to be certified as a emergency medical technician. The program thoroughly reviews preparation and introduction to emergency medical care, medical behavioral emergencies, patient assessment and basic life support, trauma and other subjects.
- Paramedic – Enrollees are prepared to become certified paramedics. In order to be accepted into the program, students are required to be a certified EMT.
- Biotechnician – Enrollees are trained for entry-level jobs in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, research labs, quality control environments and government institutions.
- Medical Billing and Coding – Blends hands-on assignments, lectures, demonstrations, and projects. Structured give students the background they need in day-to-day medical office operations, terminology, billing procedures, bookkeeping, and legal.
- Massage Therapy – Designed to give students the necessary professional and business skills for entry-level positions. Studies include human sciences, massage techniques, adjunct bodywork modalities, professional standards and clinical practices.
- Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration – Students are trained to work with residential, commercial and industrial climate-control systems.

Admissions and Financial Aid
