About the School

Meridian Institute provides career-focused education in allied health, and in beauty & health. The programs are developed in collaboration with industry experts and local employers.

Academic Programs

The school offers programs that lead to associate degrees and certificates in health, cosmetology, and business fields.

Of particular interest is the cosmetology curriculum that provides thorough training in men's and women's haircutting, styling, bleaching, coloring, perm application, relaxing and chemical waving. The program also provides comprehensive training in facials, manicure and pedicure, nail extensions and make-up. Students are prepared to work in a full service salon or nail salon.

Learning Options

The cosmetology program includes 1200 hours of instruction. Meridian Career Institute offers classes during the day, evenings and during weekends.

Faculty

Admissions and Financial Aid

Applicants need to have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.

Financial aid, including federal aid is available to eligible students. Florida Bright Futures Scholarships are also available. In addition, Meridian Career Institute has been approved to participate in various funding programs provided through the Veteran's Administration.
