MTTI-Wellspring Center for Natural Health and Wellness has been a leader in massage and healing arts education for over 20 years. With two locations in the Kansas City area, MTTI-Wellspring offers programs in massage therapy, personal fitness training and general wellness. The Center also has one of the most extensive offerings of continuing education courses for individuals seeking personal enrichment, as well as advanced training for practicing wellness professionals.

MTTI-Wellspring prides itself on delivering high quality education through the strength of their faculty, the depth and diversity of the curriculum and small class sizes. The Center is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, and approved to operate by both the Missouri Department of Higher Education and the Kansas Board of Regents.

Academic Programs

MTTI-Wellspring offers the following two diploma programs:

  • Massage Therapy Program: Comprehensive, well-balanced curriculum that integrates theory, technique and practical experience. The goal of the program is to challenge and inspire students through a holistic approach to massage therapy. Graduates completing this 750-hour program are eligible to sit for the National Certification Exam and for massage therapist licensing in Missouri and most other states and municipalities.
  • Fitness Training and Wellness Program: The Program offers students the opportunity for double certification as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). High-quality classroom instruction coupled with hands-on training in the classroom and gym, focuses on wellness, nutrition and other longevity enhancement practices.

MTTI-Wellspring also has one of the most extensive offerings of continuing education courses such as craniosacral massage, reiki, aromatherapy, and hot stone massage.

Learning Options

Classes are very interactive at MTTI-Wellspring, with classroom lectures and hands-on technique and training work. Students have the option of a daytime schedule or an evening and weekend schedule to meet individual lifestyle needs. The Massage Therapy program can be completed in as little as 10 months, and the Fitness Training and Wellness Program can be completed in as little as six months. Students in both programs gain valuable experience outside of the classroom, interacting with clients while filling externship requirements in the clinic and gym. Students also participate in community service events.

Students benefit from knowledgeable faculty who are professionals with industry-specific experience in the natural health and wellness fields.

The majority of students at MTTI-Wellspring attend the part-time programs. Two convenient commuter locations are offered, in Kansas City, Missouri and Lawrence, Kansas. The Center offers a continuous selection of natural health and wellness classes for the community, with events planned at the school to help students build relationships with each other.
