About the School

National American University Online is an extension of National American University, which was founded in 1941 as the National School of Business. The university currently offers undergraduate and graduate programs in business, IT, and healthcare. The school was an early developer of fully online, web-based degree programs beginning in 1996. According to the university, their advisory boards help the programs stay current with the demands of industries.

Academic Programs

• Master of Business Administration – Provides a comprehensive review of the fields of accounting, human resource management, statistics, marketing and economics. The program also examines the use of technology, team building concepts, collecting and analyzing information and decision making processes.
• Master of Management – Offers a strong foundation in management skills and provides a holistic perspective of organizations. Various topics are also thoroughly reviewed including human resources, information technology, international business, finance, accounting and marketing.
• RN to BSN degree – The school's online Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (RN to BSN) program is designed to expand the career options open to RNs to include management, research, and teaching. The BSN also forms a foundation for those that plan to continue on their studies to gain master's and doctorate level degrees. The school's nursing programs include a holistic perspective and examine the various aspects of promoting health, restoring health, preventing disease and healthcare delivery systems.
• Undergraduate degrees – Offers a large number of bachelor's and associate degree programs that are designed to meet the qualifications sought by employers. Real-world training is emphasized in the programs. Students can choose from programs including accounting, management, business administration, criminal justice, healthcare management, and information technology.
