About National College
Founded in 1886, National College provides a wide variety of undergraduate degree and diploma curriculums in the fields of business, healthcare, legal, tourism, hospitality and technology. The programs offer training for specific career fields. According to National College, the programs are updated frequently to meet the demands of employers. In addition, computer training is provided in all the programs. Some of the curriculums offer externships.
National College Academic Programs
Shown below are the areas of study available across the National College's campuses. Some areas offer a large assortment of programs:
- Accounting – Offers comprehensive training in accounting principles. Includes training in providing financial information and reports and other aspects of accounting.
- Administrative Office – Students are provided with an essential foundation in administrative tasks including, word processing and English skills.
- Business Administration – Offers master's, bachelor's and associate degrees and diplomas in a variety of business related fields. The programs are designed to offer the skills and knowledge in demand by employers.
- Computers – Includes comprehensive training in computer applications. Depending on the program selected, graduates have opportunities for employment as support specialists, systems analyst, database administrators and other employment opportunities. National is a Microsoft IT Academy Program member.
- Information Technology – All the programs available emphasize hands-on training. In addition, the college is a member of the Microsoft I.T. Academy. According to the school, the students have access to the newest software.
- Medical – Offers a large assortment of job-specific programs. Hands-on training is a major part of these programs.
- Paralegal – Offers a broad understanding of the legal system and substantive and procedural law.
- Radio and Television – Depending on the curriculum selected, graduates have the opportunity for jobs operating technical equipment as well as opportunities for employment as writers, producers and broadcasters. Graduates may also be eligible for sales and management positions.
- Tourism and Hospitality – The school is an official test site for the Certified Travel Agents and the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Motel Association. Students have the opportunity to achieve certifications and designations in areas such as sales and marketing, management, customer service as well as in tourism product knowledge topics.
