About National Institute of Technology

First started in 1966 as a member of United Electronics Institutes, the National Institute of Technology now offers career-focused undergraduate associate degree and diploma programs in a variety of subjects including healthcare, computers, business and criminal justice. Practical learning is emphasized in the programs. The school reports to provide industry current equipment in their curriculums.

National Institute of Technology Academic Programs

A selection of the programs offered by the institute are shown below:

  • Business Administration Associate Degree – Includes training in computer applications, accounting, marketing and record keeping. General education courses from the fields of language arts and social sciences are also included in the curriculum.
  • Computer Information Services Associate Degree – The program includes training with hardware, basic programming and networking. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning.
  • Electronics & Computer Technology Associate Degree – The program is designed to be thorough and prepare students for entry-level positions.
  • Medical Assisting Associate Degree – Students are trained in records management, medical insurance billing and coding as well as clinical tasks.
  • Practical Nursing – Provides training in a variety of nursing subjects including collecting data for holistic care plans for individuals, providing fundamental nursing care, performing basic therapeutic interventions and communicating with patients. Graduates have the opportunity to take the National Council Licensing Examination.
  • Registered Nursing Associate Degree – Structured to ready students with a solid a foundation in the field of registered nursing. The students are prepared to take the National Council Licensing Examination.

Other programs available to students cover healthcare careers including: medical billing and coding; dental assisting; and medical office technology.

Student Life

The National Institute of Technology has a diverse student population. Many of the enrollees are adults with working experience. Regarding employment, the career services representatives provide assistance to graduates in finding employment in their field of study. Resume writing and interviewing techniques are provided.

Admissions and Financial Aid

The National Institute of Technology requires students to have a high school diploma or a GED certificate. Applicants are provided with a career planning session with a school administrator. In addition, financial aid is available for eligible students.
