New Professions Technical Institute provides comprehensive career-focused programs in the fields of healthcare, import/export and business. The school also offers courses in English as a second language. New Professions Technical Institute reports to provide training to international students from all over the world.

Academic Programs

  • Business Computer Specialist program - Provides training with widely used business computer applications. Training is provided in Microsoft Office software programs, keyboarding, electronic spreadsheets, word processing, professional desktop publishing and electronic presentation design. The program also covers the principles of accounting and computerized accounting.
  • Import - Export Specialist program - Covers the procedures in the Import/export industry. The program reviews subjects such as management of air and marine operations and cargo, economic geography, introduction to international commerce, and procedures, regulations and documentation. The program covers the documents required to move merchandise through air, maritime and inland to its destination. Graduates can apply for jobs provided by cargo air lines, freight forwarders, logistical support facilities, ocean container lines and import/export companies.
  • Medical Administration Specialist program - Provides training in medical office procedures. The program covers topics such as medical terminology, medical law and ethics, word processing, and electronic spreadsheets. The program places an emphasis in coding and billing.
  • Medical Assistant program - Prepares students for an entry-level job in the medical field. Students are trained in front and back office procedures. The program covers subjects including medical terminology, word processing, anatomy, physiology, medical procedures, phlebotomy and hematology, and electrocardiogram. The program includes an externship.
  • English as a Second Language program - Designed for non-native speakers of the English language and for individuals who have limited English skills. The goal of the program is students achieving an appropriate competence in speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar so students can secure gainful employment.
