About the School
Founded in 1985, Remington College offers career-focused technical training in business, IT and electronics, cosmetology, culinary arts, criminal justice, graphic arts, and health sciences. The school grants undergraduate degrees and diplomas. Remington has a system of campuses across the US and offers online courses.
The school reports that typically classes have no more than 25 students, enabling teachers to focus attention on individual student needs. Remington's tuition is all inclusive – it includes the cost of books, parking, supplies and equipment. Some programs include a laptop computer that graduates keep permanently.
Academic Programs
Remington's programming options and course schedules vary by campus. Program areas include:
- Business – Study tracks include Business Administration, Business Office Management, International Business, and Operations Management. The Operations Management module helps put students on career tracks in accounting, facilities management and general management. Business Administration students cover a range of topics including computing, accounting, databases, management, marketing, and more. International Business is designed to ready individuals for meeting corporate challenges in the global marketplace.
- Information Technology and Electronics – The Computer and Network Administration program provides individuals with Microsoft certifications and teaches competencies in computer network operations. Electronics and Computer Technology students learn the fundamentals and theories associated with advanced electronics, integrated circuitry, microprocessors, and computers. Electronic Technology majors are trained for entry level opportunities in communications, instrumentation, and digital electronics.
- Cosmetology – The Cosmetology track offers hands-on training in an on-campus salon that gives enrollees experience in the theories, methods and best business practices for success in the field.
- Massage Therapy - Students develop the expertise needed for the massage therapy certification exam, which is central in starting a career in the field. Practice in the on-campus massage clinic helps to hone student's expertise.
- Culinary Arts – Award-winning culinary instructors help students turn their passion for cooking into careers in the restaurant and hospitality field. Hands-on training is designed to ready graduates to assume entry-level positions in the culinary arts.
- Criminal Justice – Participants get an education targeted for employment or career advancement in law enforcement, court systems, corrections and security.
- Graphic Arts – Digital Graphic Art provides students with a background in the theories, methods and techniques that can lead to entry-level career positions as a graphic designer, production artist or web site designer. Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) program enrollees study 2D and 3D digital technology design skills. Individuals with who have design and drafting proficiency can add this coursework and gain access to career opportunities in the CAD environment.
- Health Care – There are many health care programs including:
- Medical Assisting students learn CPR, blood pressure monitoring, sterilization and general clinical lab techniques that are standards in the industry. Hands-on, real-world experience is gained through participation in the school's externship program.
- A concentration in EKG Diagnostic Emphasis provides EKG and X-ray training to the student's background.
- A focus on Clinical Medical Assisting provides opportunities for graduates to obtain jobs in clinics, hospitals and doctor's offices.
- Medical Insurance and Coding trains students in records management, billing and the industry-standard coding systems and regulations.
- Personal Fitness Trainer is a module that allows conditioning fanatics to turn their passion into careers as trainers or health club instructors.
- Pharmacy Technician enrollees learn pharmacology, anatomy, physiology and dosage calculations.
- Dental Assisting participants train in an actual dental practice. This program can be completed in just 8 months.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing students who already hold a bachelor's degree can participate in the school's accelerated, bachelor's nursing program.
Learning Options
Diplomas can be obtained in as few as 8 months and the degree programs can be completed in a few as 24 months.

Faculty

Student Life
The Career Services department on each campus helps students with job placement. They coordinate career fairs, help with resume preparation, teach interviewing tips and prepare graduates for their journeys into their chosen careers.
Remington is a commuter school; there is no on-campus housing. Interaction between classmates who share the same program track helps students develop relationships that have career-long networking potential.
Admissions and Financial Aid
An admissions representative can help prospective students with the application process. Students are required to have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally students must pass an entrance test.
Grant, Scholarship, and Student Loans may be available for eligible students. Each campus has a Student Financial Aid Department Consultation available to assist all applicants. Students should start the process by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form online. Over 80 percent of students obtain some type of financial aid.
